Thank you for visiting Susan Sanford's School of Dance website. We are located right here in Amsterdam, New York. Technically we are in the Broadalbin-Perth School district. We have students from many areas including Amsterdam, Broadalbin, Edinburg, Fonda, Galway, Gloversville, Johnstown, Mayfield, and Northville to name a few. All ages are welcome to join us and learn to dance or improve their dance techniques. We offer Tap, Ballet, Point, Jazz, Clogging and Acrobatics. Jazz class can be an umbrella for several forms of dance, for example hip-hop, Broadway, Lyrical as well as contemporary. Students range in age of 3 years old to adults. We will do our very best to accommodate you.

We offer combination classes of tap and ballet for preschoolers. We offer a combination class for of Tap, Ballet and Jazz for Kindergarten and 1st graders. The combination classes give students a chance to be exposed to the primary types of dance so they can decide what type of dance is for them. Once students are in second grade we break the combination classes up so the children can have a class more focused on the type of dance they love. We have several levels of acrobatics which is primarily taught as the floor tumbling of gymnastics.
